Built in 2008 in the place of a pre-existing traditional house, Villa Daphni was designed to offer luxurious accommodation in Kefalonia in an advantageous location overlooking the valley and the sea. Prior to the building of the Villa, the site was occupied by a property named the “Palataki” or “little palace”. Destroyed in the 1953 earthquake, ruins were the only remnants of this once grand, locally acclaimed mansion house. The character of the ruins of the Villa however still showed through and it was the grandeur and beauty of the remains that guided the construction of Villa Daphni into the stylish Kefalonia holiday villa it is today.
We built Villa Daphni having in mind all the amenities we would like to enjoy during our summer vacation: privacy, all comforts inside, spectacular views and spacious surroundings outside. A reasonably steep ramp permits transportation of wheeled suitcases or strollers and gives wheel-chair access from the parking area at the entrance of the house. The ground floor of the house has no steps asides from one small step upon entering the house which gives easy wheel chair access and accessibility throughout. |
